Privacy notice
Stirps is a project in development, and this site is an informational page about it. This notice describes what happens today, and the principles the product is being designed around.
This website
This site is informational. It does not use advertising trackers or cross-site profiling, and it does not require an account.
Contacting us
If you write to esteban@stirpsgenealogy.com, your message and address are held in the project’s email account for as long as needed to answer you and to keep a record of the conversation.
Design principles for the product
The Stirps software is still being built. These are the principles it is being designed around, stated as intent rather than as a guarantee, because the final architecture may still change.
- Authenticate through a service’s own authorization flow, such as OAuth, where one exists.
- Keep credentials and tokens outside the agent’s reasoning context.
- Request the narrowest access a task requires.
- Favour local or self-hosted operation where it is practical.
- Avoid retaining genealogical data that a workflow does not need.
- Keep the user able to see what the agent did, and to stop it.
What we do not claim
We are not claiming any certification, audit or formal compliance status, and we are not claiming that data can never be seen by anyone. An AI agent necessarily processes the information it is asked to work with, and third-party services apply their own terms. When the architecture is settled, this notice will say precisely what is processed, where, and for how long.
Your rights
You can ask what information about you the project holds, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted, by writing to esteban@stirpsgenealogy.com.
Changes to this notice
This provisional notice will be reviewed and replaced with a complete privacy policy before Stirps is made publicly available.
